Artist Statement
I use photography as a means to express myself and also as a way to keep memories from past experiences such as traveling, spending time with friends and family, as well as many other special and unique moments.
Through my work I aim to demonstrate how even the simplest of subjects can make a large impact on a photograph. I use techniques such as dutch angle, symmetry, and rule of thirds in order to emphasize the subject and make it more interesting for the viewer. Recently, I have focused on photography consisting of minimalism as it is a strong style of photography that allows me to include simple subjects in an eye catching way.
I am inspired by landscapes and people the most when I make my pictures because although many see them as everyday things, they can be photographed in ways that make them unlike any photo one has ever seen before. This collection of work comes from my desire to be the best photographer I possibly can by practicing and perfecting the skills I am taught in order to present my best work for others to view.
